£200M Budget: Who Should Chelsea Sign In The Upcoming Summer Transfer Window.

The era of the Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich ended after the UK government recently approved the £4.25bn Todd Boehly-led consortium takeover of Chelsea football club. All the bans on Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea by the UK Government have now been lifted and without wasting much time, the new owners have started immediate work.

It was recently announced that the Todd Boehly-led consortium provided a £200 million budget on transfers this summer, and many supporters went against it saying the money was too small. We can’t question their administration as it is their first transfer budget.

With the £200 million transfer budget allocated to the Chelsea sporting director, Marina Granovskaia who should she sign to the club during this upcoming summer transfer window? We would get to find out which player would make a good business for the west London club.

Based on reports, the English club currently has four top summer transfer targets, Robert Lewandowski, Neymar Jnr, Declan Rice, and Jules Jules Koundé but the big question here is, who would they sign amidst these four outstanding players?

Neymar Jnr (potential transfer target for Chelsea)

The signing of Neymar Jnr from Paris Saint-Germain could happen with the French Ligue 1 club reporting that the Brazilian international is open for offer. Chelsea currently has forwards who could do the same job Neymar Jnr will be coming to the club to do. Signing the Brazilian to the club will be a total waste of money if players like Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, and Mason Mount are still available.

Robert Lewandowski (potential transfer target for Chelsea)

Paying a huge sum of money for 33 years old striker is a total waste of money with another youngster still at the club. Robert Lewandowski confirmed that he would be leaving the German Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich after the club’s last game against Wolfsburg.

The Polish striker is open to a deal but it seems like a bad deal for Chelsea with them having Cobham graduates like Conor Gallagher who was sent on loan to Crystal Palace last season. The English player will return to Chelsea during the pre-season games and could fill the void of strikers Chelsea needs. With this, Robert Lewandowski won’t be of importance for the West London club again.

With Antonio Rudiger leaving the club to Real Madrid this summer, Declan Rice and Jules Koundé is the best option for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea to buy with their £200 million budget allocated to them by the Todd Boehly-led consortium.
