The internet is going wild with joy as Afrobeats singer, Davido is set to perform at the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung shared the good news via his official Instagram story hours ago.
He claimed that the singer had confirmed that he will be closing the ceremony at the World Cup.

Recall that Davido made history and made Nigerians proud as he, alongside Trinidad Cardona and AISHA, sang the 2022 World Cup soundtrack titled ‘Hayya Hayya’ (Better Together).
Taking to the microblogging platform Twitter, Davido said he was honoured with the feat, adding it is a win for Africa.
Many fans and music lovers storm social media platforms jubilating and praising Davido for making Nigerians proud.
Davido postpones Away festival
This is good news to fans of Davido who were left saddened at his postponement of Away festival, following his son’s death.
His management released a statement postponing his Away festival.
On the festival’s Instagram page, the management stated that Davido had postpone the Away festival to 2023.
According to the statement, Davido desired to spend time with his family and loved ones during this difficult times.
The singer had lost his beloved son, Ifeanyi on October 31st.
The statement reads,
“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023. It is necessary for Davido to spend time with his family and loved ones at this time.
To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date.
Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future”.
