At different times, a lot of players have joined the Premier League, and while some joined as free agents, some joined with a specific transfer fee. Similarly this season, different players have been signed by some Premier League clubs, and each of these players has a particular transfer fee.
This summer, Manchester City has signed Erling Haaland and Liverpool has signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica. On the other hand, both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have signed Ivan Perisic and Vieira respectively. Signing each of these players, the clubs paid a particular amount for the player, and some of these deals have been rated as one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history.
Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez with a transfer fee of £85.4 million, and thus, he became Premier League’s fifth most expensive signing in the league’s history. Thus, given this, we will be seeing the “all-time” most expensive signings in Premier League history.
1. Jack Grealish
Earlier last season, Manchester City signed Grealish from Aston Villa with a transfer fee of £100 million, and thus, he became Premier League’s most expensive signing.
2. Romelu Lukaku
Before the beginning of the last season, Chelsea signed Lukaku from Inter Milan with a transfer fee of £97.5 million; thus, he became the second most expensive signing in the league’s history.
3. Paul Pogba
The former Manchester United midfielder is Premier League’s third most expensive signing. Manchester United signed him from Juventus with a transfer fee of £93.25 million.
4. Romelu Lukaku
Before Lukaku played for Chelsea, he once played for Everton in the Premier League. Thus, Manchester United signed him from Everton with a transfer fee of £90 million, and his deal became the 4th most expensive signing in the league’s history.
This means that two Premier League clubs have spent a huge amount of money on Lukaku.
5. Darwin Nunez
As said earlier, Liverpool signed Nunez from Benfica this summer with a transfer fee of £85.4 million, and thus, he became the league’s fifth-most expensive signing.
