Pulisic became the most expensive American player in history when he completed a £58m move to Chelsea in the summer of 2019 after establishing himself as one of the best and brightest young talents in the game
However, despite glimpses of his brilliance, he has not been able to meet the expectations that have been placed on his head, and he is still battling to cement a place in the first team amid competition from the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.
That has obviously led to alot of speculation in the media that he could be leaving the club at the end of the season, and amid all of those rumours, he has admitted that he is not thinking about his future – or a possible new contract
The American said: “Of course, I still have [two] years left on my contract. I’m feeling good, I’m happy here.
“We’ve been successful, we’ve done some great things as a team while I’ve been here.
“Currently, I am enjoying my football and I’m just going to finish the season out strong. (Extending my contract is) not something exactly I’m worried about right now but I’m feeling good right now.”
The man known as ‘Captain America’ has all the potential in the world and just needs a manager that will believe in his quality. He may not be at the top of his game but Chelsea would be fools to let him leave
So even though he has not had the best of times at Chelsea, we do not expect him to depart the club anytime soon and we are sure that when the time comes – he will sign that new contract
However, with all the drama surrounding the club right now, we would be fools to not believe that he could consider a move away from the club
