The subsequent goal from J. Matip in 6th minute, assisted by Virgil Van Dijk, gave Liverpool the equalizer against Aston Villa.
However, there was a poor referee and VAR decision made against Liverpool in the first half of the match tonight.
Aston Villa’s Goal in the 3rd minutes of the first half should have been cancelled by the Referee and the VAR as Their was foul during the build up of the game.
Not only was their a foul against Liverpool during the build up of the goal, some Liverpool players like, Ali and Matip were lying in the box.
The Referee’s refusal to cancel Aston Villa’s goal, despite the foul in the build up was indeed the worst decision against Liverpool in the first half.
