Barça to trigger €205m funds which will help sign Lewandowski and other targets

A new report from RAC1 gave an update on Barcelona‘s TV rights, and suggests that the club could be in for a bit of a rough ride as they try to sell at least 10% of the rights by Thursday.

Earlier this month, Barcelona’s general assembly approved a proposal to sell a quarter of the club’s TV rights to generate revenue. At the same time, the assembly also approved the sale of 49.9% to BLM.

According to Helena CondisBarça has reached an agreement with the American investment group Sixth Street.

The latter will pay €205 million for 10% of the TV rights, which will help Barcelona finish the 2021/22 season with a profit.

Other buyers include global banking giant Goldman Sachs and other financial giants. But with just a week to go before Barça begins training for the new season, time is running out.
