Mane told why he can’t perform Liverpool U-turn and must join Bayern Munich by current boss.
Liverpool has informed Sadio Mane and German heavyweight that unless their valuation is met, they will keep the Senegalese forward.
Liverpool has already rejected two official proposals for Mane from the Champions of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich, the second of which was valued at up to £30 million.
According to the report, Liverpool considers the current bids to be pitiful and is seeking a deal worth at least £40 million with additional add-ons, implying that there is a significant gap in valuation between the two parties.
The Senegalese, who is out of contract at Liverpool in 2023, has already agreed to terms on a three-year deal with Bayern Munich, which includes the option of an extension.
Mane’s Bayern contract is expected to be worth roughly £350,000 per week, significantly more than Liverpool was willing to offer him, according to report
Mane has been courted by clubs in Italy and Spain, but he has made it known to Liverpool that Bayern Munich is the only team he wants to join, and they have told him that he can only go if their valuation is reached.
Despite the signing of Darwin Nunez, a report hears that Liverpool is ready to welcome Mane back into their team for next season if Bayern does not satisfy their expectations.
Jurgen Klopp would be able to call on Mane, Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Roberto Firmino, as well as promising young forward Fabio Carvalho, who has signed from newly-promoted Fulham.
Both clubs are ‘positive’ that the agreement will be reached, but there is still a lot of work to be done, particularly on Bayern’s end to obtain Mane’s signature.
