CHE Vs LIV: 1 Tactical Mistake That Was Made By Tuchel In His Starting 11

Chelsea football club and Liverpool football club will square off at the Wembley stadium for the final of the 2021/2022 FA Cup season. Both teams announced their team news but for Chelsea FCThomas Tuchel made one bad decision in his starting eleven.

According to the Chelsea FC team news, the German tactician deployed Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho Frello in his starting eleven which he set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

The decision to play both Kovacic and Jorginho in the heart of Blues’ midfield is wrong. Kovacic sustained a very huge injury in their 3-0 victory over Leeds United courtesy of a Daniel James’ terrible tackle.

He was immediately taken off with him limping off. Rushing him back into such an important game against a very brilliant team like Liverpool FC might prove counterproductive because he will not be 100 percent fit to run around the midfield.

Again, deploying Jorginho Frello who has been very slow in his recent games since returning from injury is very wrong too. Liverpool FC have been known for their fast counter attacking football. Playing a slow Jorginho with Kovacic who is less than 100 percent fit in that midfield will expose the blues.
