Check out what Tuchel said about securing the champions league spot

Chelsea could still miss out on top four if they continue to have mixed results in the final four games of the Premier League season, manager Thomas Tuchel said after Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Everton.

The decisive goal in the 46th minute of Everton striker Richarlison meant that the third ranked team Chelsea only earned 4 points after the last 4 matches. They lead Arsenal by 3 points and Tottenham Hotspur by 5 points in the race for a place in the Champions League.

“I said this many weeks ago that I don’t feel safe and we are never safe. if we’re in a race for first place, top two or top four, no matter the race. We have to take care of ourselves. Right now, we don’t have the points when we’re playing well, deserve more and we lose when we’re playing well. It’s a bad mix, the last four games to only four points will never be enough,” Tuchel says

Former Chelsea boss Lampard, who took over from the unpopular Rafael Benitez at the end of January, has struggled to revive the fortunes of the Merseyside giants, who last played outside the top flight in the 1953/54 season.
