Current EPL Table After Liverpool Won 2-1 & Closed The Gap On Man City At The Top Of The Table

The only game that was played in the premier league competition yesterday, was between Liverpool and Aston Villa. Aston Villa who has been on top form since Steven Gerrard took over the managerial job about some weeks ago, took possession of the first half of the game and their effort was rewarded with a first half draw.

Liverpool on the other hand, returned to the second half of the game in a more organized manner as they came from one goal behind and defeated Aston Villa 2:1 and close the gap on Manchester City at the top of the table.

After Liverpool narrowly defeated Aston Villa last night, below is how the premier league table now looks like with Manchester City occupying the first position with 86 points from 35 matches. Liverpool on the other hand, are occupying the second position with 86 points from 36 matches. See the photo below for full details.

What are your thoughts about this? Do you think Liverpool can still win the premier league title this season?
