French star, Clement Lenglet has left Barcelona to join English Premier League giants Tottenham on a season-long loan. The France international will link up with fellow Frenchman Hugo Lloris at the White Hart Lane.
Tottenham released an official statement on their website to announce the signing of Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Clément Lenglet on a season-long loan from Barcelona, subject to international clearance and a work permit,” the club confirmed.
“Clement signed for Sevilla in January, 2017, and in 2017/18, featured in 54 of the Andalusian club’s 59 matches in all competitions, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the final of the Copa del Rey.
He joined Barcelona in July, 2018 and has racked up 159 appearances in all competitions, winning La Liga in his first season and the Copa del Rey in 2021.
“Capped across all youth levels for France from Under-16 to Under-21, Clement made his senior debut for Les Bleus in June, 2019, and has 15 caps to his name.”
