Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool team were in action yesterday in their 36th league game of the season against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa team away from home at the Villa Park.

Liverpool so far this season have been in incredible form with blistering performance that made them one of the most In-form teams in Europe’s top five leagues and as such placed them on the verge to make history with winning a quadruple in sight.

The Reds while playing on the road yesterday were very remarkable with another mind-blowing performance and a good fighting spirit that helped them to overhaul a goal deficit in the comeback victory to mount pressure on the league leader, Manchester City.

Liverpool in the game trailed from behind after they conceded the lead with a goal from Douglas Luiz who gave the host the lead to make it one nil before Joel Matip got the visitor levelled just before the half time break to make it one all draw.

The two sides stepped up their game in the second half which got the tempo more heated up with some physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to found the back of the net with every attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night proving abortive until the 65th minute, when Sadio Mane scored a brilliant header to give the Reds a deserved lead to make it two goals to one at full time.

The only goal of the night scored by Sadio Mane mean Liverpool now have three of it’s players with a record of 15 or more goals scored so far in the competition this season with the EPL reacting to this as the Reds are now just only the second club to achieve this feat.
