Fabrizio Romano came to his official Twitter account this afternoon to provide some intriguing info on a prospective Chelsea transfer.
The Blues had a disappointing season that ended recently. The club lost both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup finals under Thomas Tuchel, both of which were contested against Liverpool. In addition, the Blues finished third in the Premier League.
To say that many people had greater hopes for Chelsea at the start of the season would be an understatement; as a result, it should not be surprised if big changes are made at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
See below for an update on Romano’s possible purchase of Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, who is still a big target and might cost as much as €80 million…
Koundé has been top of the list for Chelsea for months. He’s considered serious option and the player would love a Premier League move. Release clause: €80m. 🔵 #CFC

Romano also listed players that may be departing Chelsea, and he said that Hakim Ziyech is available for transfer. Players that may be leaving Manchester United were also mentioned by Romano.
See his most recent piece below, in which he also suggests that Marcos Alonso may be on his way to Barcelona and that N’Golo Kante and Jorginho may be in talks with the club about new contracts…
In an exclusive column for CaughtOffside earlier this week, Romano highlighted doubts about Christian Pulisic’s future and speculated that Juventus might be hesitant to spend top dollar for Jorginho. Romano also expressed concern over Christian Pulisic’s future.
Chelsea are now open to sell Hakim Ziyech in case they will receive an important proposal. 🔵 #CFC
Marcos Alonso will leave with Barça still leading the race – talks soon with N’Golo Kanté to discuss his contract situation, Jorginho’s waiting too.
