How Chelsea could line up next season under a new ownership

Chelsea football club is on the verge of getting a new ownership with multiple reports emerging from UK papers including sky sports news suggesting that Tod Boehly has won the race to buy the club in a deal worth more than £3.5 billion.

Although there was an attempt by Britain richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe to hijack the deal late on, the good news is that Chelsea will soon have a new owner and the club will move on to a new era.

Below we will be looking at a possible squad and starting eleven that Chelsea could deploy in the first season under a new era.

As shown above, the squad will have a major shakeup in defence with the expected departure of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen at the end of this season, so we are predicting Chelsea new owners will back Thomas Tuchel to sign two experienced central defenders.

French Jules Kounde will be expected to become a Chelsea player and we are predicting that Netherlands international Matthijs de Ligt will join the back line.

Another expected new signing could be in the form of Declan Rice to help boost the midfield and relieve Ngolo Kante of workloads.
