How Frustration Led Darwin Nunez to Receive A Red Card on His Home Debut For Liverpool

Liverpool new signing, Darwin Nunez who came from the bench to inspire the Reds to a 2:2 draw at Fulham last time out, was given the matching order against Crystal Palace today.

Crystal Palace took a 1:0 lead in the 32nd minutes through Wilfred Zaha and the Darwin Nunez had several opportunities to draw his side level but he was unable to find the back of the net.

The former Benfica star was very poor with his finishing and he should have been removed in the second half, but Jurgen Klopp’s side were short of attacking options from the bench.

The 23 year old’s action in the 57th minutes saw him receive a red card after reacting to a push from Andersen by headbutting the Crystal Palace defender.

This was uncalled for and it was largely due to his frustration as he was unable to recreate his form against Patrick Vieira’s side.

Darwin Nunez scored an assisted from the bench against new boy, Fulham but had difficulties with Palace defence.
