‘I knew that this project was the future’: Lewandowski on joining Barca

“I want to give the fans great happiness, as it was in the past,” Robert Lewandowski has said on his move to Barcelona.

“I knew that this project was the future, even though the last years were difficult. I didn’t think about it much, because I knew it was the right time for me to join the club.

“I’ve played against Spanish clubs in the Champions League and I know their quality. I am not afraid and I am looking forward to the challenge.”

Lewandowski joined Barca in a move worth €45m plus €5m in add-ons, signing a contract until 2025.

 

The striker is already training with the team and could make his debut this weekend against Real Madrid.
