Jude Bellingham should join Liverpool instead of Real Madrid next summer.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ hunt for the Borussia Dortmund star.
On Friday (22 July), Fabrizio Romano reported that Liverpool “asked” for Bellingham in June but the deal was “impossible” to complete as Dortmund see him as “untouchable” this summer.
No bid or negotiations for Matheus Nunes to Liverpool, as things stand. Nothing has changed aroud this deal. 🔴❌ #LFC

According to German outlet Sport Bild (29 June) Borussia Dortmund have put a price tag of around £103million on the 19-year-old.
Liverpool are yet to add to their central midfield this summer with Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay joining the club.
McLeish claims Bellingham should join Liverpool when he does leave Dortmund.
“Jude has served his time abroad,” McLeish told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild
“I always feel, when you are that age, that you want to play for someone in the Premier League. Why not Liverpool?
“A couple of years ago they won the Champions League and they have recently won the Premier League.
“They are flying every single season, they are a force to be reckoned with. Why not Liverpool?
“Real Madrid might come in but is it the name that catches you more than the way you can settle into a club?”
Bellingham signed for Dortmund in 2020 from Birmingham for a fee of around £23million.
The English international played 43 games for Dortmund during the 2021-22 season, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists.
