Liverpool are interested in signing a top playmaker from a direct Premier League rival going by recent reports.
Liverpool are reportedly one of the clubs bidding to sign Bernardo Silva away from Premier League champions Manchester City, according to Fichajes and Jurgen Klopp is said to be interested as well.
The news source mentioned that the former Monaco man has made it clear that he wants to leave, and as a result, the Cityzens have decided to accept bids for the Portuguese international.
Apart from the Reds, other clubs interested in the Seleccao star right now include Barcelona and French champions Paris Saint-Germain with Manchester City preparing for the arrival of bids.
It is reported that the Cityzens expect a fee of roughly 80 million euros (£67.5 million) for the 27-year-old.
Bernardo Silva is one of the Premier League’s most versatile playmakers. He has thrived in the central midfield, central attacking midfield, as a False No. 9, and even on the right flank while playing for Pep Guardiola.
Liverpool do need to strengthen their midfield and the depth of the attack as well and the versatile playmaker like the Portuguese would be an excellent addition.
The £150,000 a week player (The Mail) played several positions and directly contributed in 20 goals (13 goals and 7 assists) last season across all competitions.
Manchester City sold Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal and let Raheem Sterling sign with Chelsea this summer.
Silva however, is an important player at the Etihad and has started regularly for Guardiola but we will see how this unfolds.
