Liverpool’s star beats Matip, Minamino and other nominees to win the Man of the Match award

Liverpool football club of England star has beaten other nominees to win the Man of the Match award, after his brilliant display for the club in their remarkable 2-1 away League victory over Southampton football club on Tuesday night at Saint Mary’s Stadium.

France youngster Ibrahima Konate has been superb for the Reds since he joined the club, and he was able to put on another classic performance against their opponent.

The youngster was given another starting role by coach Jurgen Klopp, following his outstanding performance for the club in their last game against Chelsea football club in the Emirates FA Cup final, and he was impressive again.

The host took the lead through England star Nathan Redmond in the 13th minutes, and Takumi Minamino equalized for the away team in the 27th minutes to end the first half 1-1.

Cameroon national team star Joel Matip scored the winning goal for the away team in the 67th minutes with a fine goal to end the match 2-1.

Ibrahima Konate was fantastic for the away team throughout the game, and his excellent performance made him to be shortlisted for the man of the match award alongside some other players, and he has beaten them to win the award.

Ibrahima Konaté made more ball recoveries (10), made more successful clearances (4/4), won more defensive aerial duels (3/5) and made more successful headed clearances (3/3) than any other Liverpool player against Southampton.
