Nigeria Under 17 National team faced Burkina Faso Under 17 National team in the WAFU B final. Both teams have not lost any match in the competition en route to the final.
Coach Nduka Ugbade started the match with strong lineup with the likes of Emmanuel Michael, Abubakar Abdullahi, Azeez, Odoh, and Williams.
The Nigeria team started the match well and it paid off as they were the first to score the first goal of the match when Abubakar Abdullahi scored in the 23rd minute, 1 – 0.
Burkina Faso were quick to cancel the goal in the 42nd minute when Adramane Ouedraogo and that was how the first half ended, 1 – 1.
After the break, Nigeria took back the lead through the first goal scorer in the 48th minute after Abubakar Abdullahi scored again, 2 – 1.
Burkina Faso tried all they can to equalize to but the Nigeria team held their nerves and won the match 2 – 1.
