Despite the fact that Tiemoué Bakayoko is on loan from Chelsea to AC Milan until the end of the season in 2023, it seems that he may return to Stamford Bridge sooner than planned.
The midfielder has failed to impress during his second stint with the Serie A giants, and it is likely that this is the reason why he will not be included in their team for the next campaign.
Daniele Triolo, a journalist for Pianet Milan, made the charges today in a blog post. He spoke with the Torino news site, and when asked about Tommaso Pobega, who is now on loan from Millan to the Serie A side, he said that the midfielder should be back at the San Siro shortly, with Bakayoko returning to the Premier League side.
“Pobega went to Turin on loan because Pioli likes him, but last summer he didn’t think he was ready to play in a two-man half,” said Triolo.
“At the end of the season, there are every intention of bringing him back to Milan also because Bakayoko will return to Chelsea and also numerically needs another midfielder who can play for the place with Tonali and Bennacer.”
Before the beginning of the season, Bakayoko has made 17 appearances for AC Milan, and it has been a long time since the Italian media began to report that he was having a dissatisfying time at the club.
Considering that his Chelsea contract is only set to end in 2024, it’s quite probable that the Blues will have to come up with a fresh solution for him in the next summer.
