It’s fair to say, with Liverpool’s recruitment policy over the past few years, there are no players that the club is looking at that would even remotely fit this category.

The creative midfielder could give Diaz some healthy competition for the left-wing position but his versatility allows him to play freely in any of the 3 positions supporting the striker.

Matheus Nunes is a name that Liverpool have recently been linked with and the club could be setting a base to be able to sign him in the next transfer window. The Sporting midfielder is a dribbling machine and a great ball-carrier.

He has a knack for getting out of sticky situations comfortably and completes 3.19 dribbles per 90 minutes according to FBRef, putting him in the 99th percentile of players in his position.

World Class

Darwin Nunez is Liverpool’s statement signing this summer and the game against Leipzig proved exactly that. The target-man has had a blistering 2021/22 season with Benfica and we’re likely to see him do the same in the Premier League.

Jude Bellingham has been linked to Liverpool for some time now and he is our next big transfer target. The Reds are not expected to make a move for him until the next summer window but he is a player that is definitely worth the wait and the money.

Klopp has already said the only ‘problem’ with the player is that he’s not on the market. Liverpool are sure to face competition for the most highly-rated midfielder in Europe next summer.
