Reason Why Antonio Rudiger might regret leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid

Chelsea’s star, Antonio Rudiger is set to leave Chelsea this summer and has now signed a four year contract with Spanish giants, Real Madrid. This means that the 29 year old German defender will now be a Real Madrid player next season.

However, Antonio Rudiger might regret leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid and here are some reasons why:

1.Real Madrid already have a lot of defensive options:

Real Madrid already have a lot of defensive options. They have some of the World’s best defenders. Defenders like David Alaba, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Nacho and Dani Carvajal might see Antonio Rudiger struggle to get into the starting line up. Antonio Rudiger has been Chelsea’s defensive line up which has seen him starting almost all games for Chelsea this season. However, Antonio Rudiger might have limited game time in Real Madrid.

2.Age:

Antonio Rudiger is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the World but he is going be to be 30 years old soon. This means Real Madrid might not need his service for a long time as they might prefer to go for younger players who will play for a long time at the Club.

3.Style of play:

Antonio Rudiger fits perfectly in Chelsea’s defense thanks to Chelsea’s Coach, Thomas Tuchel but he might not fit into Real Madrid’s style of play. A lot of great players have come to Real Madrid but have not been able to fit into the team. A good example is former Chelsea’s star, Eden Hazard who has struggled to fit into Real Madrid’s style of play. Antonio Rudiger might not be able to adapt to Real Madrid’s style of play.
