The Red Devils visit Brighton in the opening weekend’s penultimate encounter, while Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace on Friday, August 5 for the 2022-23 season opener.

Fulham have a difficult first game against last season’s runner-up, Liverpool, while Manchester City and Chelsea will slug it out with West Ham and Everton away from home respectively. Antonio Conte’s men will also face Southampton for their first Premier League clash.

The “top six” teams definitely need to be at their best if they want to secure a win in their respective opening games of the season.

However, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if some top clubs suffer a defeat on the opening weekend of the season. Ten Hag, Pep Guardiola, and Thomas Tuchel might fail to record a single point in their first game.

Manchester United lost their last game by 4-0 against Brighton. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Ten Hag suffers the same fate when his team takes on Potter’s men.

Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel might also lose all three points in their opening games. West Ham seems to be a tough nut to crack for Manchester City in recent times. Pep Guardiola’s team won just one of their last three games against the London side.

On the other hand, Chelsea lost their last game against Everton at Goodison Park. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Tuchel’s men earn a similar result in August.
