The Flamengo youngster stated on ESPN that he would like to go to Europe:

“Liverpool is a team I would play for. I have the greatest desire to play.”

The Merseysiders have six European Cup titles and were last year’s finalists. Gomes claims that he would love to compete in the continent’s top tournament:

“Playing in the Champions League is my biggest dream and that of my family, my biggest dream in football”

The 21-year-old has already played in 93 games for Flamengo, and last season, he won the Brazilian Serie A and the Super Cup with the South American side.

Gomes is mainly played as a holding midfielder, but he can also be deployed as a central defender or even a central midfielder. In December 2025, his current contract will come to an end.

A few months ago, Diario do Fla’s Gustavo Henrique stated that while Man Utd had been prepared to pay £31.7 million, Flamengo are demanding £47.6 million for their valuable asset.

Samba star, Fabinho is Liverpool’s irreplaceable playbreaker at Anfield. Henderson and Thiago can also fill the No. 6 position.

The captain and the Spaniard are veterans now, and Fabinho will join them after he turns 30 next year.

In order to be ready for the future, Liverpool have been looking to sign a DM (linked with Tchouameni), but right now, we truly need a creative midfielder to strengthen the department.
