With the new season soon upon us, Barcelona are finally starting to make waves in the transfer market. The Catalans have recently announced the capture of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, while Pablo Torre was signed earlier in the year.
And if reports from Adrian Sanchez are to be believed, it appears Barça are closing in on the capture of yet another star player in the form of Raphinha.
With uncertainty over the future of Ousmane Dembele, the club are working against the clock to resolve the situation at right-wing.
Although they ideally want to boast the services of both the attackers, keeping hold of at least one could suffice for Xavi and his men.
The Barça camp is confident they can close the deal for Raphinha within the coming hours if everything goes according to plan.
The club should not find any difficulties finding a personal agreement with Raphinha as the player’s agent has long agreed terms with the Catalans.
The onus, therefore, is on Barcelona to find an agreement with Leeds United over the transfer fee.
There were whispers of Barça committing a figure of around €60 million for Raphinha, but their pursuit of the Brazilian could be complicated by the involvement of Chelsea, who are willing to fork out a bigger fee in order to secure the services of the explosive striker this summer.
