BAYERN MUNICH are apparently planning a spectacular move for Sadio Mane of Liverpool
The Bundesliga champions are reportedly interested in signing the 30-year-old this summer as a “statement transfer.”
According to Sky in Germany, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met with Mane’s agent over the weekend.
Although talks between Liverpool and Bayern have yet to begin, it is thought that both parties are interested in signing the forward.
Contract talks between the Reds and Mane are becoming “tough,” according to the report.
Mane’s current contract expires after just one season.
And it’s understood that the club prioritizing an extension for Mohamed Salah, whose current contract expires at the same time as Mane’s, has irritated the Senegalese forward.
Following the weekend’s 2-2 draw with Stuttgart, Bayern president Salihamidzic hinted towards a big-name deal this summer:
“Let yourself be shocked,” he advised.
“We must determine what is and is not feasible. We have some innovative ideas.”
According to reports last week, the club intends to extend Mane’s contract at the end of the current season.
According to 90min, his demands are in the range of £250,000-£300,000.
