Barcelona in the last campaign kick-started the season on a very poor note as they experienced mixed run of form which made them lagged behind in all competitions and as a result dropped some vital and major points where least expected.

Their inconsistency led to the sack of Dutch manager and club legend, Ronald Koeman after which another club legend took over to continue the legacy and philosophy under whom they were able to turn the fortune of the team around and as such got back among the top teams which secured a UEFA Champions League spot for them.

However, the Los Blaugranas went without winning a single trophy in the last season which was quite unusual and in order to be more formidable in the new campaign, they have brought in some new faces as reinforcement with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie among others already part of the squad.

Their latest addition to the star-studded squad and the top arrays of players paraded in the squad is France international and Sevilla defender, Jules Kounde who has landed at Barcelona for his medicals to be done today after which he will sign a long term deal with the club.

Barcelona have invested around €157M so far (Jules Kounde included) in the summer transfer window having initially set the budget of around €200M before the window which made them to have outdone themselves.

Barcelona spending this money to get these array of players signed as compared to when they paid €160M for Philippe Coutinho means they have pulled off one of the best transfer windows ever in recent memory.

They will then be hoping to get harmonized and worked more together as a team when the season begins with all optimism to usurp their perennial rival, Real Madrid to the Spanish La Liga Santander title as well as making waves in Europe.
