As the 2022 summer transfer window opened, many players in the major European leagues have started making moves to clubs where they think they may have better playing opportunities and also get a better pay package.
Liverpool have confirmed the departure of one of their attackers, who is Belgian striker Divock Origi. He joined them from French team Lille in the summer of 2014, and went out on loan in the 2017–2018 season to Wolfsburg. He is close to continuing his playing career with 7-time European champions, AC Milan, as he aims to sign on a free transfer to join the club that just won the Italian Serie A.
The striker went on to spend eight years at Liverpool, where he won everything in club football, including an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup in the concluded 2021–2022 season, with his most notable contribution coming in the UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona in 2019, where he scored the fourth goal in Liverpool’s famous 4-0 comeback win against Barcelona.
