REPORTS: 4 Signings That Could Revamp The Chelsea Squad

After the first full season as the manager of Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel would be settling in pretty well to have a good season in the upcoming 2022/23 football campaign, as Chelsea are starting a new era at the club, with the new owners ready to hand the Chelsea boss huge war chest in the transfer window to rebuild the team in his own identity.

Although, Thomas Tuchel have already loss a valuable player in Antonio Rudiger who has departed the club to join Real Madrid this summer, but the German tactician would look for suitable options in the transfer window to replace the 29 years old defender this summer.

Chelsea fans are already in anticipation to see the immediate transfer of players to the club this summer, but even though Chelsea could be having a spending spree in the transfer market this summer, they need to be very smart with their transfer dealings, so as to get players who could add great value to the team.

So in this article, we will be looking at the addition of four new players that could totally revamp the Chelsea squad to be serious Premier League title contenders next season.

1. Darwin Nunez

Chelsea have to do all they can to get Darwin Nunez from Benfica this summer, as the 22 year old prolific striker could be the perfect solution to their striking problems next season.

His playing patterns has been compared to Robert Lewandowski, and Erling Haaland, who happens to be two strikers that Thomas Tuchel have tried to signed for Chelsea, before they signed Romelu Lukaku as their only option last summer.

Romelu Lukaku have not adapted well to the style of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, and reports claims that he is looking for a way out of the club this summer, with a loan return back to Inter Milan on the card.

Benfica are open to sell Darwin Nunez to any club who could meet the £70 million valuation that they have placed on him, after scoring 34 goals for them last season.

2. Declan Rice

Chelsea have three great central midfieders in Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho and Ngolo Kante, but the later two would be on the last year of their contract at Chelsea next season, and they have both been speculated to leave the club this summer.

Although, Conor Gallagher would be back at Chelsea next season to fight for a place in midfied, but Thomas Tuchel would still need a natural defensive midfieder like Declan Rice, who could break the attacking play of opposition teams, cover a lot of grounds on the pitch, and also make good connection with the defense and attack to maintain proper balance of the team.

Chelsea might need to fork-out a huge sum in this transfer market, if they are to have any chance of signing Declan Rice from West Ham this summer, as the London club has placed a £120 million valuation on the midfieder, but Chelsea could negotiate a little lesser fee than that to convince them to sell.

3. Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele is no doubt a talented midfieder, but would have to improve on his injury records to make significant impact, if he joins Chelsea this summer.

He is looking increasingly likely to leave Barcelona as a free agent this summer, and Chelsea are considered to be in the frontline for his signature, due to his relationship with Thomas Tuchel, who they both worked together at Borussia Dortmund.

Dembele has previously played under Thomas Tuchel, and they both know each other, which would make the deal a really great one for Chelsea, as the player suits the Thomas Tuchel’s football ideas.

4. Jules Kounde

It is almost certain that Jules Kounde would be moving to Stamford Bridge this summer, after the failed move last summer.

The Sevilla defender is rated as one of the best in the La Liga, and would definitely be an improvement to the Chelsea defense next season, forming a solid defensive partnership with Thiago Silva.

If Chelsea could complete these four signings this season, then they could easily be considered as among the favorites for the next seasons Premier League title.
