Emre Demir is already wearing the FC Barcelona shirt. The club, through an official statement, has announced his arrival:
“The new Barça Atlètic player, 18 years old, has stepped foot in the Johan Cruyff Stadium before starting the pre-season with the FC Barcelona reserve team”.
The Turkish player, who was announced as a new Barça player in September 2021, has passed the relevant medical and will immediately join Rafa Márquez’s new reserve team. He arrives to reinforce the team’s attacking side.
Barça announced a few months ago his arrival for this coming season and he will sign until June 2027, although the protocol signing of the contract with president Joan Laporta is still pending.
Demir arrives from Turkish side Karsyaspor, where he made 38 appearances last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Emre Demir will start the pre-season with Barça B, not the first team as it was expected. He has barely played in Turkey this season, and the club are worried that he has lost months of progress.
A specific plan for him will have to be designed.
