REPORTS: Chelsea midfielder could leave the club next summer as Lazio prepare transfer bid

Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will most definitely be looking forward to reshuffling their current squad under the management of Thomas Tuchel in the summer.

The Stamford Bridge side have enjoyed an interesting 2021/2022 season as they are currently occupying the 3rd position on the Premier League table.

But then, it is very obvious that manager Thomas Tuchel will have to overhaul his current squad and offload some players to raise funds when the transfer window opens.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea central midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be on his way out of the club when the summer transfer window opens.

The 26-year-old England International, who was promoted to the Chelsea first-team squad back in 2015 has struggled to break into the team over the previous seasons.

The experienced central midfielder was sent out on loan to Fulham during the 2020/2021 season where he scored one goal in 33 appearances in all competitions for the club.

However, Ruben Loftus-Cheek returned to Chelsea last summer and has been quite influential for the Blues so far this ongoing 2021/2022 season, scoring one goal and providing five assists in the 35 matches he has played.

His impressive performances in that midfield role is believed is believed to have caught the attention of Italian side Lazio and according to reports from The Sun, the Serie A club want to sign him.

The reports further claimed that Lazio are really interested in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and are now preparing a summer transfer bid to lure him away from the club next summer.
