Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will aim towards signing new players to improve their current crop of players when the summer transfer window opens.

The West London club enjoyed an interesting 2021/2022 season season as they finished in 3rd position on the Premier League table behind Manchester City and Liverpool.

Chelsea will be looking forward to signing new players when the transfer window opens and in order to do that, the Blues will have to offload several fringe players to create space.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea football club are now ready to offload experienced left-back Marcos Alonso when the summer transfer window opens.

The 31-year-old Spain International, who signed up for Chelsea after leaving Serie A side Fiorentina back in 2016 has been an important member of the first-team squad.

Marcos Alonso also played a huge role for Chelsea during the just concluded 2021/2022 season where he scored five goals and provided six assists in the 46 matches he played.

But then, with just one year left on his current contract with Chelsea it is believed that Marcos Alonso is eyeing a summer transfer move away from the West London club.

And according to reports from popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his verified Twitter page, the Blues will allow Marcos Alonso leave the club when the window opens.

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club will not hesitate to cash in on the experienced Marcos Alonso if the right offer arrives in the summer.
