Alan Hutton has claimed Liverpool will accept a sizable offer for Naby Keita if they have a midfield replacement lined up.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said the Reds can’t afford to weaken their midfield before the end of the window.
As quoted by This Is Anfield (19 August), Jurgen Klopp dismissed reports that the 27-year-old has expressed a desire to leave the Merseyside club.

The midfielder missed the Reds’ 9-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday (27 August) with a muscle injury.
Speaking to club media before the match (26 August), Klopp said the timeframe for Keita’s return to the side is unclear.
When asked if his injury problems could encourage Liverpool to sell the Guinea international, Hutton told Football Insider: “I always find it difficult talking about him because he’s in and out.
“He came with high expectations, I think he has lived up to it a little bit but not totally fulfilled his potential. It’s a difficult one, I think it definitely comes down to how much money we’re talking about.
“If it’s a low offer then I don’t think so. I think the midfield of Liverpool, as this moment in time, is a place that needs strengthened not weakened any further. With injuries they’ve been struggling for legs in there.
“I think Keita has got that about him, he can get about the pitch, so they won’t want to lose him without possibly bringing somebody in. That being said, if it’s a fee that’s worthy of him then I think they’ll listen to it.“
