Barcelona have signed five players to their squad this summer. Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Kessie, Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde are the five footballers who joined the Catalan club in this summer transfer window.
Lewandowski, Kessie, Raphinha and Andreas Christensen all played against Rayo Vallecano but were unable to help Barcelona secure a victory in the match.
Jules Kounde was the only new signing absent in the match since Barcelona are yet to register him.
Compared to Real Madrid where all the players understand one another on the pitch, Barcelona new signings are still adapting to the club playing style and they haven’t fit perfectly into the team.
It will take some time for the new signings to adapt and Barcelona might not be able to win the Laliga this season but they will compete for the title.
The Los blancos have remained highly consistent in performance for over a decade. Real Madrid forwards Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior are currently the best attacking duo in the top five European leagues.
The likes of Toni Kroos, Carvajal and Modric have also been playing together for almost a decade.
Xavi is still improving the Barcelona squad with their new signings and it might take a whole season for the players to communicate well on the pitch.
Even though Lionel Messi is the best player in the world, the Argentine struggled to perform well in his first season at PSG.
The 35 year old needed to adapt to the club playing style and has been highly impressive in performance this season following his poor performances last season.
