Spanish La Liga giant react after Liverpool knock them out of the UCL enroute Champions League final

Villarreal football club of Spain were in action yesterday in their second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals ties against Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool team at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

The Unai Emery’s side in the game were at first very dominant before they felt so relaxed in the second half which cost them to concede three straight goals that knocked them out of the competition, despite having a very big hope to pull up a surprise with a double lead in the first half going into the break that got the ties balanced at two all draw.

However, things were not the same for the Yellow Submarine in the second half of the game as they failed to replicate their first half performance and as such suffered yet another defeat with a three goals to two scoreline at full time, as it ended five goals to two on aggregate after the first leg of the encounter ended two nil at the Anfield Stadium last week.

With Villarreal‘s journey in this UEFA Champions League campaign been put an end to by the Reds, the Spanish La Liga Santander giant took to their verified Twitter handle to congratulate the Reds for reaching the final of the competition after which they wished them good luck in the future and also commended them for being a fantastic team.

What a kind gesture displayed by villarreal after having a fantastic European journey so far this season before their exit.
