Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has revealed his plan to have Chelsea loanees, Connor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour in his pre-season squad ahead of next season. He made this known in a recent interview as he revealed the club’s plan for the upcoming pre-season programs.
Tuchel didn’t give any assurance of incorporating any of them in his plans for next season, so his decision might be based on their pre-season performances. He says, “They will come back next season, they are our players. I want to have them in pre-season, then we decide our plans.”
Connor Gallagher has been very brilliant for Crystal Palace this season and he would most likely be a part of Tuchel’s squad next season. The 22-year-old would be a brilliant back-up for the aging Ngolo Kante as the Frenchman continues to struggle with injury and fitness issues.
Billy Gilmour has also given a good account of himself at Norwich. He’s had some promising seasons at Chelsea in the past, but the club decided to send him on loan, so he could garner more experience.
We would most likely see this duo in the Chelsea squad for next season as the Blues prepare to rebuild and challenge for the Premier League next season. What do you think guys? Drop your comments below and don’t forget to follow for more juicy stories.
