UCL: Salah and Henderson disclose their objectives for defeating Real Madrid in Paris

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and captain Jordan Henderson have stated that the Reds are fired up to defeat Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.

Salah said last month that he will seek vengeance on Real Madrid for their defeat to the Spanish giants in 2018 when he was wounded by Sergio Ramos during the final.

Salah’s participation in the World Cup in Russia was also hampered by the injury.

“I’m highly motivated after what happened with Madrid last time,” Salah stated during a press conference on Wednesday.

“And, with what occurred on Sunday, everyone is fired up to win the Champions League.” Everyone is ecstatic about it.”

Another source of motivation for Liverpool, according to captain Henderson, is the near loss of the Premier League championship to Manchester City on Sunday.

“To be honest, the mood is good,” Henderson added. “Today’s training was excellent, and I can feel the enthusiasm in the guys.” We were upset with the result on Sunday, which was difficult to accept, but I couldn’t be more proud of the guys this season.”
